Slice of Life

The term "center console" has several definitions, but this is what I am talking about... a fishing boat where you can freely and easily walk around the center console:

That's Dexter's boat. It is exactly the boat I want... except for the bags of body parts.
Dexter is a Miami police blood spatter expert, so of course he named his boat Slice of Life.
If someone can tell me the brand name of that boat, I will be eternally grateful. Otherwise, I'm going to have to buy the DVDs and keep hitting the pause button.

The trailer is made by Pacific, but I don't need a trailer. The (mismatched) motors are Evinrude, that I don't care about.

Just the hull... who made it?

  4. Caravelle 280CF?

Your screen shot and season 2 ep.11 have two different boats. Your's looks smaller and the I've mentioned looks more elaborate and larger possibly b/c it's a tv show. The seats are diff. to start with, but anyway. They look damn close.

    Hope that helps....

  5. Caravelle installs Mercury or Yamahas on the Caravelle. I know you can put whatever you want on your own boat, but would Caravelle want to misrepresent if they're donating a boat?

  10. I agree with "getoutside"

Season 1 episode 5 "Love American Style"
He tells Cuban refugee smuggler Jorge Castillo that he has a 32' Concept during their first meeting at Jorge's junk yard.

  13. It is without a doubt, a Bluewater center console out of Ft. Pierce, Fla. Considering that it has twin Evinrude 250's on the back, the length of the boat is either a 25' or 28'

  15. il costruttore della barca di Dexter "Slice of life" dovrebbe essere Whitewater di Miami U.S.A. Ciao!

  16. its a 32 Concept, they are built in Miami, sold through several places, and look better than they are built, no comparison to the known brands in that design (Jupiter,Intrepid,Island runner,Regulator, SeaVee,even Wellcraft) more along the lines of Solid Powerboats,Catera, and Renegade) they look like there cut from same cloth but the overall lifespan isnt close, and resale values show that, I see them used all over everyday and we arent talking 4-10 yrs old we are talking 1-2 yrs... A good sign that the workmanship isnt there, likely due to the area there built, its nown for shady workmanship, remember the Hurricane Andrew homes, they werent all leveled from Tornados, it was shady workmanship, all were built by 2 or 3 developers, Looked the part but thats all... I like the Concept look but for the money Id take alot of other brands 1st... My 2 cents worth and I live here!!!

  18. The photo shown here is a mako or something, it doesn't matter, this boat was only used a few times in season 1. The boat that has been used most frequently is the one CENTURY! That's right, it is in fact a century, check out other photos at www.dextersboat.com you can see actual photos of the boat which is now in a long beach CA parking lot outside the studio. I spoke to someone who works on the set, and he said it was a Century. He will try to get the actual model if he can. For updates, simply check back to dextersboat.com or the facebook page dextersboat.

  19. Dude. I dont care what he said in the show. It is most CERTAINLY NOT a Concept. Look at the teardrop bow shape, which the concept DOES NOT HAVE, and the sloping stern which the concept also does not have. It looks like a much better boat than the Concept line as well.

  20. It's a Century 3200CC. This boat with the Evinrudes is something else. But the one used the most, the one with the guy standing next to it, is definitely a Century 3200CC. No doubt. The paint is different, the t-top is black canvas as opposed to fiber, but its the same boat. It could almost be the 2900, but some of the drains on the sides dont match up. Definitely a 3200CC. The one on the Century website also has a little different seat setup for the console. Two bucket's, but Dex's has a bench. But the 60/40 back seat by the engines is an exact match.

  21. The Slice of Life boat sitting on our lot right now at the studios where Dexter is filmed is a Century 2901 center console.

  23. There are two different boats on the show, one is in miami and the other one is in california. One is a whitewater 28, the other one is a Century 2901 center console as kevin said. The whitewater28 is equiped with the two evinrude 250 engines. As for the other boat, the century 2901, has different engines, can't remember the name. I hope that helps and sorry for reviving that old thread =)

  25. Oh, I forgot to say, the whitewater28 is anchored in miami, the century in california. Sometimes, in the same episode, you can see the two different boats. When they need to film scenes with miami city in the background, dexter sails the whitewater. When he gets in open sea or when dexter dumps body in the ocean, you can see the century 2901 which is actually filmed in california
